I am a licensed clinical
social worker living and practicing in Barcelona. I received my Masters of
Social Work from Florida International University in 1999, and was licensed as a
clinical social worker in 2003. While completing my master’s degree, I worked in
Florida, as a milieu therapist on a children’s psychiatric unit and was intake
coordinator for a local children’s hospital. After graduating I worked for
several different mental health agencies in Florida and New York including
Children’s Psychiatric Center, Guardian Ad Litem, Unitas/St. Mark’s Place, and
WORC.

I provide cognitive-behavioural therapy to
individuals, conduct play therapy with children, couples therapy, and family and
group therapy. Over the past few years I have specialized in the use of
structured teaching and psychotherapy with children and adults with Autism, as
well as training staff in child development and best practices in the field. I
have presented at conferences throughout New York State on the use of visual
supports in order to help children and adults with Autism. I have also consulted
with different agencies and worked closely with parents in the home and school.
